MEMBERSHIP

Membership of Rashtriya NGO Mahasangh (National NGO Federation of India) is open to all NGOs that are legally registered, self-governed and politically non-partisan. The NGOs that are eligible for membership are the ones that are committed to the empowerment of poor and excluded communities, and are working transparently and accountably using democratic governance approaches and are not preaching religion.

ORGANIZATION

National Convention RASHTRIYA NGO MAHSANGH/ NATIONAL NGO FEDERATION OF INDIA (NNFOI) holds a National Convention every three years attended by democratically elected representatives from the 28 States NGOs affiliated to Rashtriya NGO Mahasangh. The National Convention is the supreme body of NNFOI. The Convention, in addition to other functions, elects a new Executive Committee and amends the NNFOI Constitution as necessary.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

RASHTRIYA NGO MAHSANGH/ NATIONAL NGO FEDERATION OF INDIA (NNFOI) holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year. The AGM provides the overall direction for NNFOI’s work, approves the annual report of the Central Executive Committee and the audit report, and endorses NNFOI’s activities for another year.
CENTRAL EXECUTIVE BOARD 

The Executive Board is presently composed of 21 democratically elected members and oversees the development of NNFOI policies and the implementation of programmes. Board members serve voluntarily in their personal capacity for the organization. The Board also appoints the staff in the central secretariat and regional resource centers. All the Main Decisions of the Rashtriya NGO Mahasangh/ National NGO Federation of India (NNFOI) are taken by Central Executive Board.

PROVINCE COMMITTEES

RASHTRIYA NGO MAHSANGH/ NATIONAL NGO FEDERATION OF INDIA (NNFOI) has Twenty-Eight Province Committees in all States. Each committee is comprised of 7–9 members who are democratically elected from district representatives. The committees coordinate, cooperate and work as pressure groups for development initiatives, institutional capacity strengthening of province level organizations and district chapters. The committees also address issues of provincial importance and provide overall direction to and manage the provincial resource centres.

DISTRICT CHAPTERS

The RASHTRIYA NGO MAHSANGH/ NATIONAL NGO FEDERATION OF INDIA (NNFOI) District Chapters function in All Districts of Every State. They coordinate and develop relationships with the government and development agencies at the local level. The District Chapters implement NNFOI programmes, report to the regional and central secretariat, and manage district programmes. The Chapters also provide membership to other local NGOs, and network and lobby for social change initiatives at the local level. Each Chapter consists of 7–11 democratically elected members.

CORE COMMITTEE

RASHTRIYA NGO MAHSANGH/ NATIONAL NGO FEDERATION OF INDIA (NNFOI) has A CORE COMMITTEE. This Committee is comprised of Several Members, elected Independently as well as the Federation’s Confederation Organizer are merged as a Core Team Member as per By-Laws of Rashtriya NGO Mahasangh.
REGIONAL NGO CLUBS
Regional NGO Clubs are being operated by RASHTRIYA NGO MAHSANGH/ NATIONAL NGO FEDERATION OF INDIA (NNFOI) in Every State on State level and District Level. These National NGO Clubs are an Initiative of Federation’s Marketing and Networking Department.
STATE ADVISORY BOARD
State Advosiry Board is Presently composed of 28 Democratically Elected Members positioning State Presidents in All 28 States. This State Advisory Board Provides the Directions to Operate the Regional NGO Clubs and work for the smooth functioning of these NGO Clubs. SAB is consistantly working for the Development of NGOs as well as the Development of the NNFOI Policies and implementation of the Program.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
An Executive Director preferrably The Founder Member is appointed as Executive Director as per the Constitution of RASHTRIYA NGO MAHSANGH/ NATIONAL NGO FEDERATION OF INDIA (NNFOI). The Executive Director performs the main Activities of the Entire Federation and Plays a Role of Brand Ambessedor of this Mahasangh.
